Butterfly Boogie 10k 2010

Hello Everyone,

The results are in from last week's Butterfly Boogie 10k race through Katy Trail. I was running at a good pace and a little past the 3.5 miles my right heel started hurting real bad (ouch). I started walking first and then started running but couldn't keep up. After a short time the pain eased up so I could start running again.

At the 6 mile marker, a man told me I could make the finish line in under the 1-hour mark, so I start sprinting as fast as i could and it seems I passed 20 runners to the finish line. My time was only 1 minute slower than my last 10k:

58;56 Overall, Placed 238 out of 389, Placed 176 out of 213 men, Placed 6 out of 7 in my age group.

I visited a foot doctor on Tuesday and he told me not to run until my next visit on April 22. I hope i don't get out of shape!
